Relevant knowledge
The maintenance of the water pump should do the following work:
(1) Check the ball bearing, and replace it if the inner jacket is worn, jagged, balls worn or spots on the surface. If it is still available, use gasoline or kerosene to clean the bearing and apply butter for preservation.
(2) Check whether there are cracks or small holes on the impeller, and whether the fixing nut of the impeller is loose. If it is damaged, it should be repaired or replaced. Check the clearance at the wear-reducing ring of the impeller, if it exceeds the specified value, it should be repaired or replaced.
(3) When the transmission tape is not in use, the tape should be removed, washed with warm water and dried, and stored in a place without direct sunlight, and should not be stored in a place with oil, corrosion and smoke. Under no circumstances should the tape be stained with oily substances such as engine oil, diesel or gasoline, and do not apply rosin and other sticky substances to the tape. Before the tape is used, the white powder on the contact surface of the tape must be removed.
(4) Try to control the flow rate and lift of the water pump within the indicated range to ensure that the water pump operates at the highest efficiency point in order to obtain the energy saving effect.
(5) During the operation of the pump, the bearing temperature should not exceed the ambient temperature of 35C, and the maximum temperature should not exceed 80C.
(6) If the water pump is out of use for a long time, it is necessary to disassemble all the water pumps, dry the water, coat the rotating parts and joints with grease, and store them properly.
(7) Mechanical seal lubrication should be clean and free of solid particles. It is strictly forbidden for the mechanical seal to work under dry grinding conditions.
