How to maintain the interior of the gearbox

 

The internal maintenance of the gearbox requires cleaning, replacing with new lubricating oil, checking whether the fasteners of the gearbox assembly are loose, and whether the joints and oil seals are leaking. As one of the important components of a car, the gearbox still has a significant impact on the car. In fact, the maintenance of the gearbox, like the engine, requires regular oil changes, which can to some extent extend the service life of the vehicle.

Manual transmission: if the transmission uses mineral oil Gear oil, the transmission oil needs to be replaced every 3 years or 60000 km. If using synthetic oil, the transmission oil should be checked regularly, as long as the oil is not faulty, it can be used continuously.

Automatic transmission: Most brands of automatic transmission models require a transmission oil change every 4 years or 60000 to 80000 kilometers.

CVT transmission: Due to its simple structure and the use of synthetic transmission oil, the replacement interval is slightly longer than that of an automatic transmission, and it is more suitable to replace it every 80000-100000 kilometers. Due to the fact that there are two types of dual clutches: dry and wet, the maintenance methods for transmissions are also different. The dry Dual-clutch transmission does not need oil change and maintenance, while the wet Dual-clutch transmission needs to change the oil and filter element every 60000 km like the automatic transmission.

 

Does frequent shifting of the transmission in N gear harm the transmission
