The transmission shaft transmits the output torque of the transmission to the rear axle through connection transmission, so that the rear axle can fully receive the torque output of the transmission, so as to achieve the purpose of normal operation.

The transmission shaft of general freight cars is composed of connecting plates, bridge bearings, universal cross shafts, expansion joints and balancing blocks. The transmission shaft is simple in structure, reliable in use, but high in technology, so we must take care of it as we take care of our own body during use, otherwise unexpected failures will occur during use.

During the routine maintenance of the transmission shaft, check whether the trim block falls off. Many truck drivers are not familiar with the balancing block: it is a small iron block welded on both ends of each transmission shaft in order to make the transmission shaft run balanced during production. Don't underestimate this thing. It plays a vital role in the safe operation of the transmission shaft.

So since it is welded on, will it fall off?

In fact, it will fall off, because the transmission shaft is also in a very bad environment during normal work. From time to time, there are flying sand and moving stones under the truck, hitting the high-speed transmission shaft back and forth, as well as the vibration caused by the increased clearance after the wear of the transmission shaft connections can make the trim block fall off.

 

After the trim block falls off, it is not easy to find that the transmission shaft will produce strong vibration when it runs. At this time, the most obvious problem is that the bridge bearing pad is torn and damaged. It is possible that the screws of the Yuanbao beam on the bridge bearing will also be broken, and in serious cases, the Yuanbao beam will also be cracked.

 

The cross bearing of the transmission shaft should be filled with grease frequently, and it is easy to check whether the complete set of the cross shaft has the outer diameter in the position. It is easy to check whether the inner circlip on the outside has worn very bright. Some words indicate that the outer diameter of the cross bearing sleeve has gone, and the gap increases. The transmission shaft is easy to vibrate during operation. At this time, it is best to replace the cross shaft without leaving any future trouble.

Check whether the bridge bearing pad is in good condition, whether the Yuanbao beam has cracks, whether the expansion joint has abnormal wear, and the connection between the gearbox and the rear axle connecting plate. The connecting screws of the transmission shaft should be tightened frequently. Finally, when adding butter, make sure to see the new oil flow out, so that the above transmission shaft will not make trouble with you during work.
