The aluminum water pipes are made of flat shapes, and the fins are corrugated, emphasizing heat dissipation performance. The installation direction is perpendicular to the direction of air flow, and the wind resistance should be minimized as much as possible, with high cooling efficiency. The coolant flows inside the radiator core, while air passes outside the radiator core. The hot coolant cools down by dissipating heat from the air, while the cold air heats up by absorbing the heat dissipated by the coolant. Therefore, a radiator is a heat exchanger.

 

Installation position of car radiator

Most car radiators are installed in front of the engine and fans. Its function is to increase the heat dissipation area and accelerate the cooling of the coolant. In order to quickly remove the heat from the radiator, a fan is installed behind the radiator to work in conjunction with it.

 

Working Principles of Automotive Radiators

The principle is as follows: based on the water temperature, engine load, and signal transmission to the computer, the engine computer controls the high and low speed relay of the fan, and is also affected by the air conditioning pressure. The air conditioning computer receives signals such as the air conditioning pressure switch, indoor and outdoor temperature, and then transmits the air conditioning signal to the engine computer through the bus. The engine receives the signal to start, controls the compressor, and also controls the fan relay to close, When the pressure of the air conditioner increases due to the environment and its own influence, the engine computer receives a signal from the air conditioner computer, controls the high-speed relay of the fan to close, and the fan runs at high speed.
